Tasmania holiday?

Q: I am planning to go on a nearly 4 week holiday to Tasmania.Most likely camping over the December holidays.I love the nature in general like water falls,rainforests and the beach etc.I know that I will be staying in Beauty Point for a couple of days.Would love some other ideas and places that are a definent visit and also places I should avoid. Thanks in advance.

A: Wineglass bay, Scamander, St Helens, Bicheno, Swansea - actually the whole east coast is nice. Salamanca market is on in Hobart on Saturday mornings and is an absolute must. The Huon valley is gorgeous, so is the North West ie Cradle Mountain. If you go to Launceston check out the monkeys in the central park there - you won't believe me until you see them with your own eyes, people never believe there are monkeys - and Cataract Gorge is lovely & free. Penny Royal gunpowder mill is fun. If you go to the casino in Launceston, I think it is Thursday - maybe check that - you can have a big all you can eat buffet nosh up for cheap, but you'll need to book early, I was suprised at the variety of excellent food especially how dam good the desserts were. If you like ghost hunting, look up ghost tours in Hobart, there is a fun nightime one of the old courthouse, they hung a heap of people there. Port Arthur and the old prison is fun, they have a ghosttour too and it's also beautiful during the day. Schouten house in Swansea is waaaaayyyyy haunted. It has been opened as a guest house in recent years. That place scares the hell out of me. Avoid the West Coast, I had the worst holiday ever there, it is boring. Apart from that you will be suprised at how beautiful everything is I think.
