A: Get on your bike!: Perth has probably the best cycling network in Australia. Get free cycling maps from any bikeshop. Take your mates for a cheap (ie FREE) scramble through the city. While out there, borrow someone's handheld GPS and go geocaching. Its a fairly new sport where you go treasure hunting all over the city. Climb the walls: For about 15 bucks each you can learn to rock climb or abseil, inside out of the weather and with people who know what they are doing. If you're terrified of heights, take someone who is the same and get to watch them freak out. Better than a reality TV show. Note: younger climbers may need an old fogey type from home to do some of the legwork at the bottom.
