Q: Hi, have just moved to Perth and need to get internet in my home. As I may only be out here for 6 months, I don't want to sign a 24 month contract. Any tips on the most cost effective solution? Only need it in the evenings to surf the net. There is no free WIFI in my area (sniff!).

A: I agree, I had his problem & the ISP are awful, you need phone line (which has to be BT for 3 months) & then BT have 12-24 month contracts & if you want to switch after 3 months you have to pay cancellation fee. So one is stuck. The only company I know that does not include a contract time & does not even need a phone line is NOW broadband, they are a life saver, they however do not have services in all areas, you have to go their site & type your postcode: http://www.mynow.co.uk/ Your other option is to go to T-Mobile , they have a service which is on your laptop & you pay for unlimited use on your PC only. I don't know the details but if you go to T-Mobile they'll give you the details.
