A: Spiders shouldn't be an issue as I don't believe the Red Back, which is worst we have in Perth, will kill a dog. It probably will make then sick and require vet treatment though. To quote the 'Alldoctors' web site: "As pets go, Guinea Pigs are the most susceptible to the bite of a Red Back. Cats come next and dogs are the most resistant to the bite, but they are certainly not immune." Snakes are a risk, but having had three dogs and walked them often in fringe bush areas without a problem, I don't think its a high risk. In fact the only snakes I've seen so far have been on the roads.
