Q: Hi people, we may be emigrating from Holland to Perth. So we are checking out the locations for buying a house. But since there are thousands of options it's pretty hard. We are looking for an area with hills, water and beautifull nature in general. We definately don't want to live in a flat suburb with all the same houses and no nature. So what are our options? Our price limit is about 600.000, we'd like a 4+ bedroom house, 1+ bathroom and garage. My wife and I are 31 years old, we have a son of 2 years old. Thanks guys!

A: Firstly here are some real estate sites. www.realestate.com.au www.reiwa.com.au The shire of Kalamunda contains about a dozen suburbs - most of which are hilly and pleasant. Shire of Mundaring is also in the hills but it's starting to get a bit far away if you want to commute into the city. The city of Armadale is horrible in the flat bits but on the hill it is good i.e. Roleystone, Bedfordale, Karragullen You don't say if you are going to be working anywhere and how far you are prepared to drive, you could get right out of the city and go for somewhere like Jarrahdale but then it might take you an hour and a half drive to get to work.
