Q: We have 2 kids, 7yrs & 9yrs. We plan to drive, so any suggestions for a scenic route?. Which places are an absolute must and which can we avoid? Any special tips? what will the weather be like Mid March?

A: I'm glad that you mentioned that you would be driving, as there is so much more you can see when you have your own transportation. Where to start......... Since you have the kids with you I would say that Rottnest Island and the Zoo are two must do activities and will use up two days. If you are so inclined, you could drive down to Margaret River for an overnighter to visit the chocolate factory, various wineries and the caves. A lot of people may suggest you go and see the Pinacles, but if you run out of time, I would skip this. A day trip into Fremantle on the weekend to visit the markets would be good too. The weather should still be fairly warm in mid march, with temperatures in the mid 20's. You may get some rainfall, but there shouldn't be a lot. What area are you staying in?
