Q: Hi, I'm 21 years old and am planning on moving to Perth with my girlfriend where she plans to continue her Bachelor of Nursing. I have been told that jobs are quite easy to come by in Perth. How true is this? Also as I am not familiar with Perth's suburbs, what is a fairly good suburb to rent in that isn't too expensive? If anyone here has moved from Melbourne to Perth would love to hear how the transition went, is it as good as what people say?

A: North of the river is great. To travel by train you should get a 'smart rider' card(http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/TicketsandFares/SmartRider/tabid/76/Default.aspx). It will be A LOT warmer weather being the sunniest capital city in the world and amazing beaches. Just the obvious which you would find in a smaller city, like it wouldn't have as great of night life as Melbourne but that's not saying its not good. There are jobs in every direction, because many people have moved up north for mining. Hope you love your footy!! No rugby in this state! Over all, it is a beautiful city and a wonderful state, the people are extremely laid back and friendly so you wont have a problem meeting new people. - http://www.westernaustralia.com/au/Pages/Welcome_to_Western_Australia.aspx - http://searchjobs.careerone.com.au/search/search.cgi?collection=careerone_xml&meta_N_phrase_sand=Perth&meta_q_phrase_sand=WA - http://reiwa.com/ By the way. GO EAGLES :) (couldn't resist!)
