Q: My son is going there for six months and would like to know any info on the places of interest and the night life? Also is there anything he shouldn't do and anything he should be doing? Doesn't want to offened the locals, he's a marine and they like to party as we know but still local customs are important.
A: Randwick is only a short bus drive away from Moore Park and Bondi Junction. Moore park has La Premiere Cinema which is awesome! You can have snacks/dinner and drinks which watching the movie and the cinema also has a bar. There are also a few nice restaurants there - Cine (italian) Fox and Lion.. etc Bondi Junction has every shop you can think of and loads of nice places to eat! Darling Harbour has a good night life - my fave bars are Cargo Bar and Bungalow 8. Anywhere in the city is very crowded on Fri-Sat nights though.
