Q: Don't know anyone down under, it is a lateral move not a promotion. Will be moving alone-never been there before. What do people think...move into the unknown and loose opportunity to buy at home or stay and buy at home and leave move to Oz...? Not sure which is better option...HELP!!!!!!
A: I think Australia is a truly great place to live and work, but I'm biased because that's where I'm from. You didn't say where you are now, but using the term 'down under' suggests you might be from the US. Perhaps consider a visit to check Australia out if you have the time and the funds before you have to decide. Keep in mind the Australian economy is booming, unlike in the US where there is talk of recession. I guess in the worst case scenario if you moved and didn't like it you could always go back. Do you have any info about what industry you would be working in or what city you would be moving to?
