Q: Hello! I'm an exchange student in Sydney and I wanted to know if it is possible to work as a fruit picking for just two weeks or so.. and also if you need to have a work visa to do it. Which one do you think is the best fruit to pick? some people have told me that it is strawberry. Thank you :)
A: yes i have picked coffee beans in Lismore Byron and surrounds it's easier that most picking work but it is still hard work...pay is usually cash in hand if you find a local farmer who is advertising but if you are employed by an agency then yes you will need a work visa try the far northern rivers papers like www.northernstar.com.au
