Why don't Hostess confectionary export Twinkies to Sydney, Australia?

Q: There are so many fat american bastards here, you'd think they would already stock them in Sydney

A: Probably because Australia has seen a large move away from junk food in recent years. A year or so ago Subway overtook Macdonalds as the chain with the most outlets in the country. Taco Bell tried opening a couple of stores in Sydney and then pulled out completely when they didn't take off. It could also just be that Australia isn't a big enough market for them them to try entering yet. Though with the free trade agreement now in full swing, I am surprised they haven't tried. After all, we can buy Oreos here now and other familiar American delicacies.
