Australia spouse visa refused? Need help?

Q: I am studying in Australia on a student visa. I got married a year back and wanted to bring my wife here on spouse/dependent visa. My spouse visa is refused for Australia as my status is nt updated in embassy from single to married. cause wen i applied for student visa i m single and wen i reached Australia i married..so the status change is the main problem. Her visa refused under 573.314 and sub class 2.07AF Please provide me any solution if you know. i am in great need of help. My worry is that if i'll apply again the Consulate will refuse it based on the last refusal or accept it?

A: Make sure that your Embassy updates your details and apply again. You may need to supply some very substantial proof of the length and substance of your relationship with your wife. Our Immigration people are very wary indeed of people seeking to obtain spouse visas when their marriage is not a genuine long term commitment, but was entered into in an attempt to be granted a visa. I'm not for a moment suggesting that is what you're doing, but it happens frequently and that explains why their requirements are so stringent.
