Q: finding loads of manchester to sydney but not the other way around. dont really know where to look... please help
A: I've never seen any airline offering flights to Manchester or similar cities from Australia. Certainly, none fly direct to there - probably because of some British regulation on flights coming into the UK. Looks like you'll need to book to London with a separate flight to Manchester.
