Q: I am going to Sydney in a few months time and i have so queries!! Firstly, how easy is it to rent a flat with a 6 month lease? I am looking for a cheap as chips type place with 2/3 bedrooms. Secondly, where is a good place for three friends to live in Sydney who want to experience the laid back atmosphere we are told to expect?! We also are going to be needing to get jobs and we are all looking for bar work, so we would want to be near to where we want to work! Thirdly, we want to stay in a hostel when we first get there, anyone got ny favourites?!! THANK YOU :D yeah i already have a working holiday visa :)

A: If you are coming from another country and want to have a party type of atmosphere I would definatley say somewhere in the eastern suburbs. its true that cronulla and the shire is nice, however it is quite far from the city, i mean you can get a train but its kind of a place where if you live there you go out there, you work there, and you dont go anywhere else. the north is lovely but has no nightlife and the west is, well, its cheap but i dont think it would be what you were after! In the eastern suburbs you could get a share house, there would be lots of jobs around, lots to do and lots of fun to be had. I would probably go to a hostel in Bondi as soon as you arrive, and then go from there. good luck!
