Q: I am going to oz soon with a few mates, and we are going to have 3 weeks there starting in sydney. We are thinking about getting a campervan but areu nsure where to go. We don't have much time but do not want to rush things either. Is it realistic to get to cairns for example? Has anyone done something like this before? Any tips or advise would be much welcome. Also, if anyone has any advise for the cost we can expect to pay for gas that would be great.
A: the distance between sydney and cairns is about the same as san diego to seatle. but no interstate 5 freeway standard, but better than 101 in nth Ca. and Or. you will do it easily,depending on where you want to layover. gas anything from $1.60 [major centres] to $1.90 ,per litres, in isolated areas.
