Q: Hi, I am currently in US and wants to move to Australia. I am in the software field and my girlfriend is a dentist. I would like to know your opinion about whether it is a good idea to leave US and move to Australia. Basically, I want to know about the life style, work opportunities (i believe software engg has best option in US), and work option for dentist. Any advice is helpful. Thanks,
A: Have never been to the US b4, but know of 2 families who moved from US to Aus, quite a few years ago. They regularly go back to visit relations but can't wait to get back here. They say we have it so good compared to the USA. They say Aus is a better place to raise their children. We love the outdoors and are passionate about our sport. Eg Cricket, Footy. From a job prospective, the country is booming at present and our aussie $ is doing quite well against the greenback. Research your industry well. Also check out job recruitment sites. the largest job network site in Australia is called Job Search.gov.au If u google it you'll get the correct address. Good Luck!
