Could you please help save the baby whale stranded in Sydney Harbour??

Q: Please email the Australian consulate in your country and tell them that they MUST do all they can to save the baby whale. My government is sitting waiting for a two week old orphaned whale to starve to death. It is suckling the hulls of yachts moored in Pittwater it is so hungry. The US saved another type of whale in a situation like this last year so it is possible. But my govt will do nothing unless they get a kick up the whatsit! Please help the whale. It is so sad!! It is a humpback. What hypocrites we Australians are. We rail at Japan for killing whales and then let one starve to death while we watch! Please help or give ideas here as to who might help EDIT: The mother whale could have been run over by a ship which is hardly "a natural occurence" I have worked as a wild life rehabilitator and I can tell you that you never find a suitable replacement formula until you try. It has never been tried. They have also not tried to relocate the whale to one of the many marine show amusemant parks we have where a mother whale may have taken it to feed alongside her own calf. The tragedy is that they have not tried ANYTHING except towing out to sea where THEY hope it will die out of sight and out of mind. And for those who do not come from my country let me tell you something. I see whales almost every day at this time of year because it is their migration period. They frolic for days at a time off the beaches of my city, so close you don't need binoculars to recognise what species they are. I know about whales and I know we have to start TRYING to save these babies or we will NEVER learn how to do it! And by the way smart ar** I am a Buddhist and therefore vegetarian so any murdering of calves and lambs is not being done by me. I don't even wear leather shoes.

A: I cannot believe how cruel some of these comments are. It is a shame that some chose to conduct themselves in such a way that does little to display any compassion or integrity. "Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.' Albert Einstein
