Travelling to Australia?

Q: Hi. I am going to Australia in mid March. Geelong to be exact. I am visiting a friend for 3 weeks. I will be flying into Melbourne, and then going to Geelong for approx 10 days. After that I was thinking of seeing other places. However, I am looking for advice on things that I definitely have to see. Keeping in mind, my return flight is from Melbourne, and I don't want to spend a small fortune on other flights, since I'm already paying a hefty fee from Canada. I am willing to spend a couple hundred dollars on domestic flights. I am also going to try and convince my friend to travel with me. (And he is on a tight budget)....any answers, or feedback is appreciated. I'm even willing to go somewhere by train, or rent a car.

A: Most return flights in Au can be a couple of hundred Dollars so you may get one flight to another place. There are many things to see within Victoria as it is Melbourne is the 2nd largest city in Australia & quite multicultural there is also the coastal areas along the western region being the Great Ocean road and the shipwreck areas. There is the Werribee Zoo Melbourne Zoo Healsville zoo Philip Island & the penguin parade The spar region up around Hepburn springs there is a lovely wine region up Rutherglen there is the many other towns with specialty foods, great accommodation and regional food specialties and so much more if you just look.
