Q: My mum has recently moved to Tasmania and I went there for a visit. It's a beautiful place and I would love to move there but I'm worried it will be much harder to find a job in tassie. I'm also worried I will regret it and want to come back to Sydney. Has anyone moved to Tassie? Do you regret your decision? Was it easy to find a job. I guess going for a holiday is much different from actually living there and I don't want to make a mistake. I have a 5 years old daughter also so I can't keep jumping from state to state.
A: It would really depend on where in Tassy, Hobart and surrounds is the best place to find employment. Also the type of job you are looking for makes a big difference skilled work is relatively easy to find especially medical or trades.The state govt also has all it's jobs advertised online each Wednesday www.jobs.tas.gov.au We made the move a bit over 3 years ago and have never regretted it and I fortunately arrived to a job. I think Hobart is the best place to raise a child of any of the capital cities
